COIL SPRING REPLACEMENT
A problem often found with fire dampers is with broken or corroded springs. This is a common failure in Leisure Centres or swimming pools, where chemicals in the air could cause delamination of springs and eventual breaks.

In the majority of cases, this can be rectified in situ, and does not require the full fire damper replacement, which is costly and time consuming.
TEK SCREW REMOVAL
Fire dampers must be securely attached to the ductwork using aluminum fixings. The use of steel TEK screws is incorrect, as they do not function effectively as breakaway fixings. To ensure functionality, we recommend removing the steel screws and replacing them with aluminum rivets for a reliable and safe installation.
